The Young Alumni Award was established in 2005 to recognize the achievement of the most recent generation, highlighting one individual whose actions have serviced as an inspiration and motivation to others. The Honorees are chose by an ad hoc committee in May and the award is presented at the Homecoming banquet each fall.
Plaques with award recipient’s names are located inside the main entrance of the Administration Building.
Criteria:
- The recipient has graduated or transferred within the last 15 years, not to exceed 35 years of age.
- The recipient has demonstrated distinctive achievement in a career, civic involvement, or both, or recognized as having a higher level in their career than might be expected at this time period or recognized for community service.
- The recipient receiving the award should be able to be present at the banquet, or at the discretion of the Awards Committee, another candidate may be chose, or the award may be omitted altogether.
